Soft
Starter

Since Electric Motors often require large amounts of electricity during their accelerating to the nominal speed, a Soft Starter can be used to limit the surge of current known as “inrush current” and torque of the electric motors, resulting in a safer, smoother and gradual start-up.

Surge
Protection

Surge Protective Devices (SPD) are used to protect the electrical installation, which consists of the consumer unit, wiring and accessories, from electrical power surges known as transient over voltages. They are also used to protect sensitive electronic equipment connected to the installation.

Variable
Speed Drives

A VSD controls the speed and torque of an AC motor by converting fixed frequency and voltage input to a variable frequency and voltage output. System performance can be greatly improved by controlling speed to precisely match the load.

Harmonic
Filter

Power quality is a significant concern for today’s manufacturing and power generation facilities. Finding the right solution for unbalanced loads is important. Devices such as variable frequency drives, servo drives, LED light drivers and other devices that rectify AC to DC can generate harmonic distortion. It is important to limit the distortion under a certain level in order to reduce effects on other equipment in a facility.

Cast Resin
Transformers

Siemens Energy cast-resin distribution transformer (CRT) has been in successful service since 1965. Over 150,000 units Siemens Energy CRT have proven themselves in power distribution or converter operation all around the globe. Optimized transformer assets by ensuring high reliability, low life-cycle costs, and minimal environmental impact.
